Diane Cluck Is An American Singer/songwriter. She Is Loosely Affiliated With The Anti-Folk Scene Centered Around Open Mic Nights At The Sidewalk Cafe In Manhattan's East Village In NYC. She Moved To Stone Mountain Georgia In January 2007. She Has Recorded Six Albums Since 2000. Cluck Has Been Known To Use A Seagull Acoustic Guitar With A Capo On The 1st Fret Piano Organ Harmonium Handmade-Xylophone And Zither In Her Performances. She Has Been Influenced By Dogs And Her Home State Of Pennsylvania. "Dogs Inspire Me And Break My Heart. They Are Joyfull By Nature And Honest At All Times. People Imprison And Domesticate Dogs Rob Them Of Their Sex Organs And Then Keep Them Around To Stroke On. Humans Keep Pets As Models Of Their Own Restraint. I Am Interested In 'freeing The Dog'. Her Music Uses Discordant Effects And Much Dynamic Contrast. Her Song Monte Carlo Appeared On The Rough Trade Compilation Anti Folk Volume 1 In 2001 Alongside Other Luminaries Of The Scene. She Has Collaborated With Jeffrey Lewis And Herman Düne In The Past And Has Recently Been Working With Drummer Anders Griffen. Diane's Latest Release Monarcana Came Out On July 10th 2006 On The Very Friendly Label. She Toured The UK From July To August 2006. She Toured The UK Europe And The USA In 2007 & 2008. In June 2009 She Will Tour The UK With Mary Hampton.
