The Blacktop Cadence Formed In Gainesville Florida In The Late 1990s And Played A Handful Of Shows From 1996-1998. The Band's Sound Is Typically Described As "after Hours Hot Water Music" Offering Emotional Yet Reserved Vocal Stylings Over Predominantly Rhythm Guitar Parts A Melodic Bass Line And Intricate Drumming. The Blacktop Cadence Consisted Of Members Of Hot Water Music And Baroque Chris James Wollard Guitar/Lead Vocals HWM George A. Rebelo Drums HWM Jack Duane Bailey Guitar/Backing Vocals Baroque Heather Ann Parker Bass Baroque In 1997 The Band Released One Album Chemistry For Changing Times On The Defunct Keystone-Ember Record Label. It Was Reissued In 2003 By No Idea Records On CD And Vinyl. The Band Also Contributed A Track Titled "To The Rhythm Of A Cold Night In Virginia" To Deep Elm Records For "The Emo Diaries" Series. The Band Broke Up Sometime In 1998.
