Biographie de l'artiste pour Lizards

There Are At Least 2 Bands Called Lizards 1 Some 15 Odd Years Ago After The First Pounded Clown Practice Dave Approached Hal With An Offer To Be In A Second Band Together The Lizards. Being The Semi-Spontanous Guy Hal Is He Said "uh Sure". After A Few Months Of Practice And A Show The Lizards Parted Ways With Their Original Singer And Continued As A 3-Piece With The Original Bassist And Sacramento Legend Donnie Jupiter. After A Few Years And Compilation Tracks On Very Small And Lookout Records The Lizards Released A Split 12" Record On Very Small Records With Nar. Donnie Got Sick Of Playing Bass A Few Years After That So Sacramento Virtuoso Chris Woodhouse Grabbed A Bass And Donnie Moved To Rhythm Guitar. Under This Line-Up The Lizards Released A Highly Successful Split EP With Elmer And Dropped The "the" From The Lizards Leaving Us With The Stream-Lined Version Lizards. Donnie Got Weary Of Performing And Phased Himself Out Around The Time Chris Left To Pursue His Own Projects. The Mighty Jay Onyskin Stepped In On Bass And Wrote "Uh Oh Chongo" Lizards' Biggest Hit To Date. Later 13 Year Old Matt K Shrugg Started Hanging At Practices Then At Shows And Eventually Performing A Few Songs Locally To Enhance Lizards' Live Set. Then In 1997 Lizards Broke Loose And Joined Forces With Portland's Automatics For A Full US Tour And Filled Out The Year With A Japanese Tour And A New EP. 2 THE LIZARDS Dispense A Classic Form Of Bluesy Rock In The Tradition Of Zeppelin Rainbow And Purple And Do So Quite Convincingly Creating A Collection Of Classic Songs That Can Be Played Over And Over Again Each Time Picking Up Something New One Hasn’t Heard The Previous Time Before.
THE LIZARDS Aren’t The Kind Of Old-Man Retro Band Which Bores The Shit Out Of You. Not That Kind That Have Missed Thirty Years Of Rock History. It’s Obvious To Hear That These Musicians Have Transported The Vibe Into The Current Century. And It’s Not Only Hard Rock To The Max Call It Southern Funk Metal Blues … Originally Lined-Up With Singer John Garner From The Legendary Sir Lord Baltimore It’s Now Mike DiMeo On The Vocals.
Besides Mike DiMeo The Band Also Features Drummer Bobby Rondinelli B.O.C. Black Sabbath Rainbow Five-String Bassist Randy Pratt And Guitar Hero In The Making Patrick Klein Whose Guitar Work Recalls The Best Of Page Blackmore And Cream Era Clapton Which Is To Say This Is Quite Majestic In Nature.
