Bill Kenny Guitars And Keys And Vince Stephen Vocals And Bass Met And Began Making And Performing Music Together In London In 2007. Harpal Mudhar Young Drummer Of The Year 2007 Joined The Band In 2009 To Form The Three- Piece Line-Up That Exists To This Day. Kleinzeit Released Their First Album From Hospital On CD And Most Digital Platforms In 2010. The Record Showcased The Band's Power And Energy As A Three Piece Featuring Post-Punk Guitars Scatter-Gun Vocals And Harpal's Virtuosic And Creative Drumming. Songs On The Album Were Largely Narrative Taking Influence From Film Literature Contemporary News Stories And Vince's Own Fictional Scenarios. In 2011 Kleinzeit Released Stories And Songs For The Insomniac And The Nothing Stays The Same EP. This New Material Saw A Move Towards A Sound That Was Subtler Though Paradoxically Heavier Showing The Influence Of Bands Like Earth And Swans As Well As Rhythms Lifted From Dance Music And Jazz. Lyrically The Songs Dealt With Themes Of Mental Illness Alienation Political Violence And Master-Slave Relationships. The Band Also Contributed A Song To The 1.05 Compilation Released In France By Winter Records. The Band Went On Hiatus In Late 2011 When Vince Emigrated To Arctic Norway Where He Wrote And Recorded A Solo Album. Both Bill And Harpal Have Remained Active In The London Music Scene With Bill Now Playing Keys For Cult Band Men Of Good Fortune And Harpal In Demand For Live And Session Work. The Band Began Working Together Again This Summer And Are Currently Recording Material For A New Album To Be Released In 2014. All Material Is Available Through Their Bandcamp. read less
