Biographie de l'artiste pour King Des Tropiques

King Born Jenkins Berman Kheejoo Grew Up In A Not Too Affluent Area Of The Suburb Of Quatres-Bornes On The Island Of Mauritius. He Did Not Have An Easy Childhood. His Dad Died When He Was Nine His Mum Was In And Out Of Hospital And His Early Teens Were Spent In An Area Then Rifled With Drugs Violence And All Sorts Of Dubious Goings’ On. His Mum And Sister Attended Church Regularly And Entreated Him To Change His Ways But To No Avail. His Mum And Sister’s Life Were Changing For The Better But That Did Not Impressed Young Jenkins. Aged 17 King Developed Epilepsy And His Health Was Going Downhill. He Then Attended Church And Offered His Life To God. With Active Participation In His Local Church His Life Then Was Transformed Physically As Well As Spiritually. In 1996 He Produced His First Recording Rendez Vous Dan Cite Celeste And Had Continuously Produced Various Other Titles Over The Following 10 Years. One Particular Song “Let Me Fly” Caught The Imagination Of The Public And In The Same Vein As “Shackles” By Mary Mary Crossed Over To The Secular Music Scene And Was A Hit. To This Date It Can Still Be Heard In Night Clubs And Discos.
From 2000 Onwards King Has Performed At Various Engagement With Other Gospel Artists. In 2001 He Had His First Solo Concert Followed By Other Engagements Culminating In Two Massive Concerts 4 September 2005 And 17 September 2006. Since 2007 King Has Been Working On His New Album “I Will Bless The Lord” And June 2008 Sees The Launch Of This First London Debut Album. This New Album Would Be Tagged As Christian Music With A Tropical Flair. Written Performed And Produced By King This Album Boasts Of The Accompaniment Of Gilbert Berthelot Lead Guitar Of Y2PRAISE As Well As The Vocals Of Y2PRAISE LONDON.
