Chris Attended The Famed Douglas Anderson School Of The Arts A Dedicated Arts School Whose Former Students Have Gone Forward To Excel On Stage Page And Behind The Scenes. Examples Of These Success Stories Include Studio Guitarist Songwriter And Producer Eric Jackson Recorded With Babyface Michael Jackson Toni Braxton Paul McCartney Seal Tupac Shakur P. Diddy LeAnn Rimes And Floetry And Ryan Key Sean Mackin And Longineu Parsons Yellowcard . Chris Passed His Audition By Playing The Advanced Chord Structure Of Atlanta Rhythm Section’s Jazz Influenced “Spooky”. His True Calling Was Performing Live And In The Studio However Wowing Audiences On Stage Virtually Every Weekend While Still In High School. Chris Formed Bands With Various Other Musicians And Won Regional “Battle Of The Bands” Contests On Three Different Occasions. Not Content To Just Be One Of The Best Guitar Players In The Region Chris Honed His Skills As A Lead And Backup Vocalist In The Process. Providing A Balance Of Power Emotion Dynamics And “can’t Get It Out Of Your Head” Riffs Kellam Has Set Himself Apart And Clearly Provides The Fuel That Drives Blistur Forward To Limitless Promise. Neal Gupton - Drums/Percussion Neal Gupton Was Born In St. Augustine Florida And Began Playing Drums At The Age Of Eight. Exposed Early On To The Great Swing And Be-Bop Drummers Of The 40’s And 50’s Such As Buddy Rich Gene Krupa & Louie Bellson He Began To Take In And Learn From All Forms Of Music. He Joined The School Band In The Sixth Grade And Proceeded To Hold The First Chair Position In Percussion Through High School Learning To Play Classical Percussion Instruments Such As Tympani And Xylophone. From There It Was Jazz And Marching Band Where He Sharpened His Rudimentary Skills On The Snare Drum And Drum Kit. His First Professional Gig Was At Age 16 Sitting In With A Country Band And Not Knowing Any Of The Songs. This Early “wing It” Experience Proved To Be A Valuable Asset In Adapting To Most Any Situation And Performing Well In Many Different Genres Of Music. Gupton Has Played Non-Stop Ever Since In Various Projects Ranging From Classic And Modern Rock Cover Gigs All Original Funk Bands Blues Heavy Metal Pop Studio Session Work And Even The Orchestra Pit For Live Theatre Productions Of The Music Man Camelot And Nunsense. Dom Berti - Vocals/Bass Playing Music First Became A Part Of Dom's Life At The Age Of 15 When He Learned To Play The Trumpet. After About A Year Of Playing In High School He Went To Try Out For His Friends Band. After Seeing The Bass Player In That Band Play Walter Castelle He Knew That He Wanted To Play The Bass. At The End Of The Try Out They Offered Him The Position As First Trumpet But He Declined. A Friend Of Dom's Ended Up Giving Him A Six String Acoustic Guitar Of Which He Removed The Bottom 2 Strings And Went On To Teach Himself The Basics Of Bass Playing. After That He Sold His Trumpet And Saved Up For His First Bass. While All His Friends Were Out Playing Sports He Was Sitting In His Room Practicing For Hours And Hours Teaching Himself Scales Different Techniques And Basically Anything He Could Find To Improve His Playing. Eventually He Started Going Towards Fusion And That Is When He Took It To The Next Level. He Jammed With A Lot Of Musicians And Made A Lot Of Friends During This Time Who Helped Shape The Musician He Is Today. He Went On To Study With Miroslav Vitrious Virtuoso On The Upright And Bass Player For Weather Report. Soon After He Attended Westchester Conservatory Of Music. Later In Life Joe Macaro A Former Professor At The Berklee College Of Music Really Opened His Mind To Music And Helped Him Understand It As A Language. He Gives Credit To His Professors At Westchester Conservatory Of Music Miroslav Vitrious And Joe Macaro For Their Tremendous Influences.
