Bert Dockx Antwerp 1980 Is A Belgian Composer Singer And Jazz Guitarist Who Trained At The Jazz Studio And The Royal Conservatory Of Brussels . In The Theater He Made Music For Various Companies Including HETPALEIS Het Toneelhuis De Tijd And Theater Zuidpool . For The Performance Empedocles By Theater Zuidpool He Composed And Played A Soundtrack With Elements From Rock Classical Jazz Ambient And Abstract Improvisation. In 2016 An Extensive Tour With Flying Horseman Followed And A New Album With Dans Dans Which Gradually Gained A Foothold Abroad. Bert Also Wrote And Performed Music For The Dance Performance 'The Jungle Is Our House' By The Dutch Club Guy & Roni And Composed The Music For Peter Monsaert 's Feature Film 'Le Ciel Flamand' . At The Beginning Of 2017 Bert Was Artist In Residence At DeSingel In Antwerp With Flying Horseman For 7 Weeks . The Residency Resulted In The Performance 'Rooms / Ruins' Which In Addition To A Premiere In DeSingel Was Performed 7 More Times In Belgium And The Netherlands. In The Summer Of That Year The Music Was Also Included In What Was To Become The Band's New Album. At The End Of 2017 Bert Also Composed The Music For 'One Million And Me' The New Performance By Veerle Van Overloop And Created The Soundtrack For 'Ahmed' A Short Film By Leander Coorevits. In The Autumn Of 2018 Bert Dockx Released 'Transit'. A Completely Live Recorded Solo Album That Consists Solely Of Adventurous Interpretations Of Some Iconic Songs By Bruce Springsteen Joy Division Townes Van Zandt And Bob Dylan Among Others . In 2019 The First Album Of His Jazz Ensemble Ottla Was Released. In 2022 Dockx Released Two New Albums One With Dans Dans And One As A Solo Artist And He Also Wrote The Soundtrack For The Critically Acclaimed Film A Parked Life By Peter Triest.
