Now Based In Toronto Alister Johnson A.K.A. DJ Catalist Lived Most Of His Life In Peterborough NH A Very Small Town. He Was First Influenced By The Sounds Of Hip-Hop Producers DJ Premier RZA Pete Rock & Large Professor. He Began Making Hip-Hop Beats On His Computer Armed With A Turntable And An Audio Sampling Program Called Cool Edit. Alister Is Currently Working As A Producer/engineer At The Hive A Toronto Recording Studio. He Has Worked With Local Artists Done His Own Production And Remixed Artists. He Has Branched Out From The Hip-Hop Sound Into A More Uptempo Overall Sound And Has Experimented With Broken Beats And Percussion Flavored Tracks. read less
