Soon After Pompeii 99 Had Planned For Their First American/European Tour. At The Same Time Invitation Au Suicide A French Label Responsible For The Release Of Christian Death's Deathwish EP Offered Valor The Opportunity To Record An Album With Them In Europe Before The Start Of The Tour. There Was One Condition Change The Band's Name To Christian Death. Valor Did Not Want To Change HIS Band's Name Nor Did Rozz Want To Be Reminded Of A Band He Distasted. Seduced By Money They Had Changed Their Name And Entered A Studio To Record Catastrophe Ballet The Birth Of Christian Death Official And Marked A Shift From Rozz's Straight Forward Punk Rock To A More Rich Melodic Sound Thanks Mostly To Valor's Musicianship All Christian Death Official Songs Were Written By Valor Kand Lyrics Were Written By Rozz Williams On Two Albums . Rozz Had Then Gone Behind The Band's Back And Gotten His Mother To Fly Him Back To LA From France. Christian Death Stranded Once Again.
Upon The Band's Return To LA In 1984 An Album Was Recorded And Scantly Supported Known As Ashes. The Sound Continued The Pompeii 99 Ethos Of Apocalypse Straying Further From Rozz' Own Personal Doom And Gloom And Upon 1985 Rozz Had Quit The Band Just Weeks Before Their Departure On Another European Tour.
In Respect To Rozz Christian Death Official Continued Touring And Recording But As "For Sin And Sacrifice We Must Die A Christian Death" And "The Sin And Sacrifice Of Christian Death" On The Records The Wind Kissed Pictures And Believers Of The Unpure Respectively. It Was During The Tour For Believers That Valor Decided To Return To The Name Christian Death With No Opposition. Throughout The Rest Of The 80s Valor Kept Pushing The Limits Of The Deathrock And Gothic Rock Genres Making Some Of The Most Notable Christian Death Albums To Date. In 2000 We Saw The Release Of Born Again Anti-Christian And 2002's Lover Of Sin An Album Featuring Valor And His Backing Band Consisting Essentially Of Cradle Of Filth And Maitri's Mislabeled Blackened Death Metal Side Project's Debut Album Respectively As Valor Began Breaking Into Death And Doom Metal Influences.
2007 Saw The Release Of Christian Death Official's American Inquisition Album. With Pseudo-Sisters Of Mercy Hard Rock Carrion They Return To A Deathrock-Laced Gothic Rock Sound With A Very Deep Message In The Album Concerning Drugs Death Despondency Disillusionment And Maitri Liking It Doggy Style.
2009 Saw Valor's Beautiful Remastering Of Catastrophe Ballet And Ashes Both Including Two New Tracks Featuring Spoken Poems By Rozz Fixated Together With Supporting Vocals By Valor And A Blend Of 1980s And American Inquisition-Era Christian Death Music To Almost Carry On The Spirit Of Rozz In Christian Death.
