Biographie de l'artiste pour Timelock

Timelock Is A Progressive Rock Band From The Netherlands. They Released Their First Album "Louise Brooks" In 1992. If You Are Looking For The DJ Time Lock Fix Your Tags - They Are Wrong. In Order To Understand How Timelock Came To Be We Have To Go Back In Time. Between 1980 And 1984 Two Bands Were Busy Making A Name For Themselves In The Hague. At The Time They Were Not Aware Of Each Other’s Existence. One Of These Was The Symphonic Rock Band ‘Ywis’ With Rinus Hollenberg On Guitar And Julian Driessen On Keyboards. The Other Was Called ‘Harvest’ And Played Melodic Rock And Had Bass Player Bert De Bruijne And Lead Singer Ruud Stoker. Whereas ‘Ywis’ Was Very Much Influenced By The Canadian Band Saga And Published An LP In 1983 Simply Titled ‘Ywis’ Harvest Played Songs In The Tradition Of Bands Like Wishbone Ash And Concentrated Mainly On Live Performances. The Time Was Ripe For ‘Timelock’. Ruud And Julian Had Found The Desired Musical Style And Combined This With The Talents Of Bert And Rinus. They Still Lacked A Drummer Though This Was Going To Be An Ongoing Issue For The Band . By Then It Was 1991 And The Foursome Went Into Rinus’ Studio To Record New Songs With The Use Of A Handy Tool The Rhythm Box. In 1992 ‘Louise Brooks’ Appeared And The Critics Were Unanimously Positive. During That Time Rinus Performed Live With The Revived ‘Q 65’ And Persuades Drummer Rob Louwers To Join Timelock For Promoting The CD With Live Performances. This Turns Out So Well That Rob Stays On To Record ‘The Dawn’ In 1994. This CD Scored Well With The Critics Too And Even Rates 8.3 In ‘Aardschok’ Magazine. One Track Of This CD ‘Someday’ Was Regularly Played At Radio 3. After A Number Of Performances The Record Label Of ‘Timelock’ SI-Music Unexpectedly Dissolved.
