Biographie de l'artiste pour Leslie Krafka

Right Now You Would Have To Go To Houston TX To Find Out Why Leslie Krafka Has Been Wowing The Acoustic Music Scene. But It Won't Be Long Until Everyone Finds Out. The Release Of Her Debut Album The White Cat Sessions Introduces The Listener To Her Texas Flavored Blend Of Folk Rock And Country And What An Introduction It Is!
Krafka Did Not Have A Typical Songwriter’s Childhood. There Were No Musicians In Her Immediate Family But There Was Plenty Of Music In The House Growing Up. The Year Krafka’s Family Moved To Houston She Discovered FM Radio. She Ingested A Steady Stream Of Top 40 Music Until Her Older Brother Came Home From The University Of Texas In Austin With A Cache Of Albums From The Alt-Country Cosmic Cowboy And Texas Songwriter’s Scene. Folks Like Willie Nelson Ray Willie Hubbard Jerry Jeff Walker And The Lost Gonzo Band Swayed Leslie’s Taste In Music. Then Leslie Did The Most Important Thing A Songwriter Can Do She Lived Her Life Got Married And Raised A Family. A Gift From Her Family To Attend Terri Hendrix Songwriter’s Workshop Found Leslie Performing The First Song She’d Ever Written With Lloyd Maines Backing Her Up. Lightning Struck And The Rest Was Just A Matter Of Time.
Krafka Was Named The Songwriter Of The Year 2010 By The Houston Songwriters Association Who Also Voted Her Song Wandering Troubadour As Song Of The Year 2010. Expertly Produced By Jack Saunders The White Cat Sessions Shows That This Was No Fluke. The Album Is A Wonderful Collection Of Portraits And Stories. Krafka Sings These Songs With A Mix Of Warmth And Grit. All In All The White Cat Sessions Marks The Arrival Of A Fresh New Talent.
