The theme of washing/doing laundry is repeated throughout the track, particularly in the second verse where he variously references: bleach, soap, Clorox, Tide, Arm & Hammer, Gain, hanging clothing out to dry, spin cycles, and mopping up.

“When I was talking about signing with Fool’s Gold, Q-Tip was the one that put the battery in the back to tell them to make it happen, you know what I’m saying? So I think he always been following my music to this point, so once we started to start talking about this album, it’s always want to have an executive producer involved in it, just somebody to help out. And he just came the board. My managers just hooked it up, so shouts out Tip. Working with Q-Tip, man, it was a humbling experience because we always think you know everything but when you’re around somebody like such a legend like him you got to take his criticism to heart. He ain’t going to steer you down a wrong path when it comes to making music. This is his passion, just like us. I used to record songs and it was almost like trying to catch lightning in a bottle almost. I’d just want to probably just get one take and try to capture the emotion more so than getting all the words right. But with him, he like, “Nah, man. You only got so much time before you put this music out in the world, so might as well give it all the love and care that it needs before people start to hear it.
