Chyshuga Began Writing Epic Rock N’ Roll Hits In The Year 2004. It Wasn’t Long Before A Self-Titled EP Was Released Surprisingly Selling Well Under A Million Copies.
And So Began The Uphill Battle For Superstardom. The Band Played Real Nice And Real Hard Over The Next Year Gaining Them A Solid Reputation With Audiences As Far As Edmonton Bypassing Red Deer Altogether.
Over The Next Several Years They Did What Most Bands Do Playing Many Shows And Writing Several Songs. In 2007 The Band Released 100 Copies Of Chyshuga Presents 23 Minutes Of Chyshuga A 4 Song EP That Fell Just Shy Of Curing Cancer. Days Later Singer Ryan Gartner Guitarist Corey Mullin And Drummer Tyler Larsen Hatched A Plot Out Of Sheer Boredom To Kill And Bury Guitarist Shilo Doetzel Along With Bassist Scotty Boy Whalen. All Went According To Plan Though Scotty Boy Was Later Dug Up And Revived By Members Of The Canadian Super-Group Econoline Crush.
Through What Can Only Be Described As An Amazing Twist Of Fate Surviving Members Of Chyshuga Crossed Paths With Zuckerbaby Bassist Extraordinaire Ed “God Of Thunder” Tiegs. The New Line-Up Would Gather Weekly At Their Top Secret Rehearsal Studio To Power Up The Hit Machine And Spit Out Epic New Tracks.
Months Went By And The Band Became Quite Pleased With Their Results - The Hit Machine Was A Worthy Investment. With Epic New Songs In Hand The Band Hiked Down To A Creepy Little Mountain Town In Northern California Called Weed.
Working With Tool And System Of A Down Producer Sylvia Massy The Band Recorded “Dirtbag Limo” Their First Full Length Record.
Unfortunately Tragedy Would Strike Again. While Recording The New Album Guitarist Corey Mullin Fell Madly In Love With A Local Hippie And The Two Lovers Made A Retreat Into The Cavernous Depths Of Mount Shasta. He Was Never Seen Or Heard From Again.
Upon Returning Home The Remaining Members Launched A New Plot To Kidnap Legendary Guitarist Reed Shimozawa And Harness His Powers For The Good Of Humanity. He Was Held Captive At Their Top Secret Rehearsal Studio And Forced To Listen To The New Recordings For Weeks. Once The Stockholm Syndrome Finally Took Hold Reed Had No Choice But To Stay And Play For The Band.
