In 2004 Seven Musicians Living In Palestine Came Together To Form The Music Group Turab "Soil" Or "Earth" In Arabic . Their Vision Is To Create An Original Palestinian Sound And Translate Into Music The Complexities Of Politics Resistance Poverty Love And Daily Life In Present-Day Palestine. Turab's Songs Tell The Story Of Palestinians Their Connection To Their Homeland And Their Struggle For Freedom And Justice. Turab's Style Is Influenced By A Variety Of Musical Traditions Including Arabic Reggae Latin And Jazz Among Others.
