Se Conocieron Como Es Típico En Estos Casos En El Instituto Y Pronto Formaron El Grupo Que Originalmente Se Llamaba The Jakes. Después Vino La Época En La Universidad Y La Distancia Entre Ellos Hasta Que Decidieron Dejar Los Estudios Y Tomarse En Serio Su Carrera Musical. Su Estilo Y Su Música Había Evolucionado Y Sobre Todo Madurado Así Que Decidieron Cambiarse El Nombre Y De Ahí Nació Young The Giant. The Band Released The Track Before The Album As Its Third Single After “It’s About Time” And “Crystallized.” The Track Was The First Song That The Band Wrote For The Album. According To Lead Singer Sameer Ghadia Overcoming Writer’s Block For This Song Was A Major Inspiration For The Rest Of The Album. In A Short Documentary The Band Describes How The Song And The Album As A Whole Depict Internal Struggles And Paralysis Of The Mind. In The Spring And Summer Of 2020 A Portion Of The Song “…And When The Seasons Change” Became Popular Audio On The Video-Sharing App TikTok Often Accompanied By The Caption “put This Sound Over A Good Memory”. To Date The Sound Has Been Used In Nearly 150 000 Videos.

“Mind Over Matter” is the fifth song and title track of Young the Giant’s second album. The band released the track before the album as its third single, after “It’s About Time” and “Crystallized.”
The track was the first song that the band wrote for the album. According to lead singer Sameer Ghadia, overcoming writer’s block for this song was a major inspiration for the rest of the album.
In a short documentary, the band describes how the song and the album as a whole depict internal struggles and paralysis of the mind.
In the spring and summer of 2020, a portion of the song “…And when the seasons change” became popular audio on the video-sharing app TikTok, often accompanied by the caption “put this sound over a good memory”.
