Banda De Thrash/death Metal Formada En El Año 1985 Como "Death Attack". Bajo Ese Nombre Realizaron Un Demo. Un Año Mas Tarde La Banda Cambiaria Su Nombre A "Protector". En Noviembre De 1986 Entraron En La "White Line Studio" En Las Cercanías De Braunschweig Donde Grabaron Un Demo Que Contenía Las Dos Canciones "Protector Of Death" Y "Apocalyptic Revolution". En 1988 Protector Realizó Por Primera Vez En Wolfsburg Un Concierto. En Agosto La Banda Grabó Su Primer Slbum De Larga Duracion "Golem" En El Estudio De "Phoenix" En Bochum. Unas Semanas Después El 3 De Septiembre De 1988 La Banda Tocó En Su Segundo Concierto Con Bandas Como Sodom Esta Vez En Bamberg En Donde El Cantante Tom Angelripper Sodoms Interpretaron La Canción Spacecake Junto Con Protector Por Primera Y Única Vez. En El Verano Del 89 Missy Martin Se Unió A La Banda Otra Vez Y Granban Su Segundo LP "Urm The Mad" En El Estudio De "Phoenix" En Bochum. En Mayo De 1990 Protector Entró En El Estudio "Phoenix" Por Tercera Vez Donde Se Registró El EP "Leviathan's Desire". En 1991 Protector Graba Su Tercer Album De Larga Duracion Titulado "A Shedding Of Skin"" Fue Lanzado Por "Major Records". "A Shedding Of Skin" Fue Grabado En El "Music Lab Berlin" Y Producido Por Harris Johns Quien Entre Otros Anteriores Habían Producido Bandas Como Sodom Kreator Y Voivod. En Junio Del Año 1993 Protector Grabó Su Cuarto Y Último LP De Estudio "The Heritage" Que Fue Producido Por Tim Buktu Y Puesto En Libertad Por "Major Records" En T & T Studio En Gelsenkirchen. En 1995 "Major Records" Lanzó Una Compilación De CD Dedicado A Michael Hasse Con 16 Temas Llamado "Lost In Eternity". Durante Estos Años Protector Se Mantuvo Viva Por El Baterista Marco Pape. Junto Con Una Siempre Cambiante Alineación Que Hizo De Algunos Conciertos Y Grabaron Un Demo Llamado "Resurrected" En 1999 Que Fue Lanzado En 2000. Poco A Poco La Banda Se Desintegró En Los Años Siguientes. En Octubre De 2003 El Registro De La Empresa Sueca "I Hate Records" Lanzó Una Compilación De CD Que Contiene La Demo A Partir De 1986 "The Misanthropy EP" Y El LP "Golem" Llamado "Echoes From The Past".
