With A Rich Atmosphere Of Guitars And Vocal Harmonies Bitewing Is A Musical Project Born In 1994 And Made Between Portugal And The United Kingdom. The Thirteen Year Old Project Has Now A Repertory Of More Than One Hundred Compositions In Different Stages. Bitewing Are Two Individuals Joana Esteves And Manuel Geraldes Full Of Imagination And The Ability To Paint A Picture Made Of Sound Layers. All Songs Are Written Composed Recorded And Produced By Them. Manuel Plays Drums And Guitar Since He Was Fourteen Years Old Bass Guitar For About Two Years And Played In Several Bands Of Originals Before Joining With Joana In The Bitewing Project. All Over The Years He's Been Developing His Amazing Skills Not Only As A Musician But Also As A Composer. Joana Started Learning Music When She Was Five Years Old. She Started Playing The Recorder At That Young Age Learning Later How To Play Guitar And Piano At About Twelve Years Old. The Love For Wind Instruments Made Her Start Playing The Flute In The Year 2007 Although Her Strength Has Always Been In Her Voice. She Sang In Several Covers Bands Since 2003 And Apart From Performing And Composing She Is Also A Music Producer. With This They Gathered Some Experience That Made Possible To Build This Project And Most Of All It Made Grow The Passion To Play Live. They Were Both Born In Lisbon Portugal And Their Influences Are So Varied As Their Song Styles. Influenced By Great Bands Like Foo Fighters Alanis Morissette Faith No More Tori Amos Pink Floyd Zero Seven And Diana Krall Passing Through The Great Fado Musicians As Amalia Rodrigues And Carlos Paredes Their Music Is A Rich Variety Of Flavours And Colours.
