Künstlerbiographie The Rescu

The Rescu Is A Rock Band From Cape Town South Africa Founded In 2010. The Mission Is Simple For This Trio Rock The Crowd With A Big Sound From Start To Finish And Have A Whole Lot Of Fun Doing It! The Band’s Sound Has Evolved Since Their Inception To Incorporate A Tasteful Bouquet Of Alternative And Classic Rock Influences. There Is An Edgy Familiarity About Their Music. The Rescu Are Mike Vaughan - Bass Playing Front-Man
Graham Lowndes - Guitar Playing Wingman
Sheldon Yoko - Drum Smashing Stuntman The 3 Guys Are Seasoned Musicians With Lots Of History - Always On The Same Scene But Never In The Same Band. Sheldon Mike And Graham Have All Done The Late Nights Carrying Drum Kits And Amplifiers In And Out Of A Million Clubs And Rehearsal Rooms Working Hard At Their Passion Often For Nothing More Than The Love Of Doing It. Formed In 2010 The Rescu Immediately Set About The Task Of Writing And Recording An Album. The Fundamental Non-Negotiable For The Band Was That The Album Needs To Sound Like They Do Live. Part Of The Appeal Of Watching A Trio Is The Raw Stripped Down Nature Of The Music. Getting That To Sound As Big As Possible For The 3 Guys On Stage Is The Ever-Present Objective. So The Rescu Spent Some Quality Pre-Production Time In An Empty House Just Outside Of Cape Town In The Hex River Valley Producing And Arranging A Very Honest Set Of Songs That Would Translate Effortlessly From The Studio To The Stage.
The Self Titled Debut Album Was Recorded At Heritage Sound Studios By Brendyn Rusti Rossouw. With The Band Now Signed To Sheer Music The Album Was Released In August 2011. The Album Launch Held At The GrandWest Casino’s Hanover Street Coincided With The Video Release Of “I Did It For You” The First Single Off The Album. The Video Debuted On DSTV Channel 324 – MK89 And Was Placed On High Rotation. The Single Was Also Playlisted On Various National And Campus Radio Stations And Afforded The Band The Opportunity To Appear On Several TV Shows Which Included ETV Morning Live And MK89’’s Studio 1 Christmas Special. Main Stage Festival Performances At Rocking The Daisies And Synergy Live 2 Of South Africa’s Biggest Annual Music Festivals Were Added Accolades For 2011. 2012 Saw Momentum Building For The Band With Continued Radio And TV Exposure With The Release Of The Second Single “beautiful Life”. The Rescu Rolled Out The Beautiful Life Tour Which Took The Band Up The East Coast Of South Africa For 6 Shows. This Was Also The First Time The New Live Look Of The Band Was Seen An Interactive Show Comprising Of Synchronized Visuals And Lights - An Intensified Effort To Draw Fans Into The Show And Make Them A Part Of The Journey. The Remainder Of 2012 Has Seen The Band Start Work On Their Next Album. Writing And “live Testing” Songs In Front Of A Crowd Before Recording Them Will Ensure An Even Tighter More Edgy Sound For The Rescu On Their Next Studio Offering. Selected Tracks From The Debut Album Are Featured On “Clifton Shores” Currently Airing On DSTV Channel 116 And America’s TV Guide Network Channel Where The Show Has Been Renamed “The Shores”
