Thus Was Born The Spark That Escalated Into A Full Conflagration By Ythe Spring Of 2004 When Old Friends Bassist Jukka Kiviniemi And Drummer Sasu Moilanen Joined The Fray. Soul Tattoo Started Recording Their Debut Album At Musicmakers Studio In The 1st Of March 2004. Scarecrow Jimmy Was Released As A Debut Single In June 23rd. The Video Was Directed By Finnish Filmmaker Claes Olsson. August Saw The Release Of A Radiopromo Single The Ghosts Of Love. The Self-Titled Debut Album Saw The Fluorescent Light Of The Record Store 20.9.05. It Was A Critical Success And Gained A Lot Of Airplay On Radio Helsinki. Since September 2004 Soul Tattoo Has Played Dozens Of Shows All Around Finland Including Joint Gigs With Bands Like The Flaming Sideburns Melrose And Him. The Band’s Performances At The Ahllowed Tavastia Were Praised By Local Music Magazines Sue And Rumba. Soul Tattoo Awakened The Interest Of European Promoters At The Musiikki- Ja Media Event Held In Tampere In Late Ocotober. Soul Tattoo Was Booked To Play Showcases In Holland And Norway. On January 13th 2005 Soul Tattoo Took To The Stage At The Eurosonic Festival In Groeningen Holland. The Band Made History By Being The First Finnish Group To Ever Receive An Invitation To Play. In February The Band Took On The By Larm Festival In Stavanger Norway With Its Customary Panache And Style. In March Soul Tattoo Received The Live Act Of The Year 2005 Award At The Annual Femma-Gaala A Kind Of Alternative Grammy In Finland. At Present Soul Tattoo Is Getting Ready To Record A Second Album.
