Pear Eyes Is A Now-Retired Ambient Glitch Idm "post-Pop" Duo Comprised Of Married Couple Jennifer York Formerly Allensworth And Shawn Shackelford. The Couple Were Married For A Number Of Years & Produced Music Both Together And Separately.
They Were Divorced In 2012 & Both Pear Eyes & Their Co-Run Netlabel "Go Zombie Records" Were Retired. Pear Eyes Began In Late 2006 By Jennifer York Formerly Allensworth & Soon After The Project Was Also Adopted By Then-Fiancee Shawn Shackelford A.K.A. Electronic Idm Artist "Renegade Android" And Together They Had Perfected "Pear Eyes". Shawn Has Been A Prominent Figure In The Idm Genre Since 1999 Making Music Under The Aliases "Renegade Android" "Unseelie" And "Digita'lis/Phlox". Jennifer Was New To The Electronic Scene And Was The Creative Genius Behind Pear Eyes. Jennifer Was Also The Artistic Visionary Behind Go Zombie Records Creating Much Of The Art For Both The Label And The Artists It Carries. Raised Classically She Began Her Music Career As A Concert Violinist At The Age Of Five Years Old And Continued To Broaden Her Musical Horizons Branching Out To Play The Clarinet The Piano And Eventually Moved Into The Electronic Scene At Nineteen Years Old. Throughout Their Relationship The Music Progressed And Formed It's Own Sound Known As "Post-Pop" And Remains The Figurehead Of The Genre. Jennifer York Formerly Allensworth Did Continue To Pursue A Solo Music Career Under The Name "Ellidegg" And Came Out With A Few Albums Of Her Own Before Taking An Extended Hiatus From Music Altogether Shortly After The Couple Had Parted Ways.
