Local Blood Is An Alternative Post-Punk Band From Vilnius Lithuania. The Band Formed In 2014 And Is Composed Of Childhood Friends Who Grew Up In The Same Neighborhood. The Band Members First Became Seriously Interested In Music In Their High School Years Around 2006-2007 Inspired By Bands Like The Killers And Arctic Monkeys. They Began Learning Instruments And Writing Songs Together. After Pursuing Other Interests During Their University Studies They Reconvened In 2014 With A Focus On Post-Punk Music. Local Blood Self-Released Their Debut EP "A Lure Of Sights" In 2017. They Have Since Supported International Acts Like Son Lux The Underground Youth And Girls Names At Concerts In Lithuania. Their First Full-Length Album "Dystopian Disco" Was Released In 2022 To Critical Acclaim Earning Them A Nomination For Rock Band Of The Year At The Lithuanian Music Awards. In Addition To Regular Touring And Festival Appearances In Lithuania Local Blood Cites Bands Like The Amazing Snakeheads Snapped Ankles And Viagra Boys As Inspirations. They Strive To Create Memorable Live Performances That Enhance The Music Beyond Standard Recordings. Their Second Album "Loverman" Was Released In Late 2023. read less
