Lauran Hibberd Born 8 July 1997 Is A British Singer-Songwriter From The Isle Of Wight United Kingdom. Influenced By Artists Such As Laura Marling Lucy Rose And Feist She Took Up The Guitar Aged 14 And Soon Discovered A Passion For Singing And Songwriting. Her Earliest Releases The House I Built When I Was Small I Don’t Like It When You Smile And The Favourite Shade Of Blue EP Had A Softer Folky Sound. Towards The End Of 2017 She Began Releasing A Series Of Singles That Have Progressively Displayed More Of A Punchier Indie-Rock Influenced Direction Old Head Young Shoulders On 1st September Eliza On 20th October Hunny Is This What Adults Do? On 24th November Fun Like This On 2nd March 2018 Call Shotgun On 29th June And What Do Girls Want? On The 5th October 2018. Beginning With Fun Like This Each Single Has Been Accompanied By A Music Video Produced By Fellow Isle Of Wight Residents Skinny Mammoth. Hibberd Sold Out Her First Headline Shows At Strings On The Isle Of Wight In May 2018 And Heartbreakers In Southampton In July Of The Same Year. She Has Supported Artists Including Clean Cut Kid Jerry Williams Bryde Girli Anna Burch And The Hoosiers. From 11th August - September 2nd 2018 She Went On Her First UK Tour Supporting Eliza And The Bear. She Has Played Bestival Multiple Times Other Festival Appearances Include Liverpool Sound City The Isle Of Wight Festival Common People Victorious Blue Dot And Follow The Sun. In 2019 She Released The Single Sugardaddy On 1st February Before Undertaking A Tour Of The UK And EU Supporting American Band Hippo Campus. This Was Followed By Hoochie On 18th April And Her First UK Headline Tour In May Playing In Manchester Southampton And London Her Debut Appearance At The Great Escape Festival In Brighton And Another Landmark Debut At The Glastonbury Festival. On July 25th She Released Her Latest Single Frankie's Girlfriend The First Track To Be Taken From Her Upcoming EP Everything Is Dogs. BBC Radio 1 Invited Her To Record A Live Session At The BBC's Maida Vale Studios Where She Played Hoochie Frankie's Girlfriend Bad Guy/Don't Sit Down Cause I Moved Your Chair A Billie Eilish/Arctic Monkeys Mashup And Another Track To Be Included On The EP That Has Regularly Featured In Her Live Set Shark Week. The Session Was Aired On 13th August 2019. Hibberd Is Undertaking A Second Headline Tour In October 2019 To Promote Her EP. Her Radio Supporters Include Richer Unsigned Amazing Radio Steve Lamacq And Tom Robinson At BBC 6 Music And John Kennedy At Radio X As Well As Continued Support From BBC Introducing And BBC Radio 1 DJs Such As Annie Mac Jack Saunders And Huw Stephens.
