Kawada Is The Band Around Composer Singer Joeri Cnapelinckx.
Everything Starts In 1998 In The Flemish Municipality Merchtem. Some Friends Found Up A Band Called 'Nefast'. After A Few Gigs And A Few ‘staff Changes’ The Band Ended It’s Existence. Joeri Together With Drummer Ruben And Violin Player Elke Started Looking For New Band-Members. After A Short While ‘Kawada’ Is Born And They Start To Rehearse Very Intensely. A Few Moths Later The Band Is Ready To Hit The Flemish Stages. They Play As Well On Free Stages Contests Stages As In Youth Centres And It Becomes Clear To The Crowd That Kawada Is A Very Strong ‘live-Band’. They Played A Lot In 2004 And At The End Of That Year The Recorded Their 2nd Demo In The Ghosttown Studio.
This Demo Gets The Attention Of The ‘Ancienne Belgique’ AB Is A Famous Club In Brussels And They Booked Them As Support For The Irish Band The Frames In February 2005. They Also Get Selected For ABCocoon And Get The Possibility To Do An Own Show Witch Got Sold Out!
With The Help Of The Same AB They Get To Record An E.P. /- 6 Songs At The End Of 2005. Kawada Persuades With It’s Strong Compositions And It’s Very Tight Songs. They Want To Go Very Large With Their Music And Leave Enough Space For Experimental Stuff. The Band Describes It’s Music As Pop/Rock With Some Broken Edges! March 2008 The Band Released It's Debut Album 'Shaving Your Beard On A Nice White Cloud'. The AB About Kawada “Kawada Where Zita Swoon Meets DEUS Again? First Class Rock With A Lot Of Tension In The Compositions Ask The Frames!” Kawada Is Joeri Cnapelinckx Rhodes Voice Guitar ...
