Künstlerbiographie Don Martin Three

"Don Martin Three Was From St. Augustine FL And Other Than That There's Not Much More Info On Them. Judging From When Their Records Were Released And What Else I Can Remember They Were Alive From '93ish To '96ish.
It Is Rumored That Colin Recorded His Vocals For The LP As A Bit Of A Joke Poking Fun At The More Contrived "singing" Of Emo Bands At The Time ... .
It Was Also Rumored That Jason Teisinger Of Palatka/Belladonna Records Planned To Re-Release The LP Remixed With The Corrected Vocals But This Dispelled By Jason Himself.
I Seem To Remember Hearing That The Flaws In The LPs Were A Mistake Made By The Pressing Plant But The Band Didn't Mind Probably Getting A Deal On Mis-Pressed Lps And Decided To Keep Them Anyway. Colin & Brian Along W/ Will The Drummer Of Hope Springs Eternal And James Who Used To Run Fuse Records In St. Augustine Eventually All Converged In Baltimore And Formed Wilderness Sometime Around 2003. So Far They Have Released 2 LPs On Jagjaguwar Their Latest Being "Vessel States". You Can Order It From No Idea Records. There Are No Plans For A Release Of A Discography And Probably Never Will Be. Try Your Luck On EBay Or Record Trading Sites. If There Is Interest I May At Some Point Offer A CDR Of All These 8 Songs. |RELEASED| 12" On Belladonna Jason & Kurt . 5 Songs All Untitled. Some Came With A Booklet. Released In '96 500 Pressed.
7" On Oberon Self-Released . 2 Songs Katahdn & Inefficient Engine. 300 Pressed
7" 'Three-Way Split' Comp DM3/Moonraker/Hope Springs Eternal On Belladonna Jason & Kurt . DM3's Song Transistor |UNRELEASED| 4-Track Recording Of The LP

live At Least 2 Unreleased Songs" From Www.Myspace.Com/donmartinthree About The Joke Vocals "hi There! This Is A Bit Nerdy But Also A Matter Of Consequence. I'd Like To Dispel The Rumors In Your History Section About The Vocal Work And General Sound Of The 12". The 12" Is About A Loved One Who Died In A Car Wreck. The 12" Was Initially Recorded On A 4-Track In Early 1995 And Then The Band Briefly Went Defunct. The Band Returned Later In The Year And Rerecorded Then Toured In Early 1996. I Remember Seeing Them As A Teenager And Wondering Myself Whether Or Not The Band Was A Joke Of Some Kind Because Of The Over-The-Top Intensity Of Their Performance. I Didn't Get The Record At The Time And Thus Didn't Know The Subject Matter Of The Songs. In Early 2002 I Asked My Friend Mike Taylor Formerly Of Palatka About DM3 And Whether They Were Either The Most Or Least Sincere Band In The World. Mike Abruptly Stopped What He Was Doing Got A Very Very Serious Look On His Face And Said "nate There Was Absolutely Nothing Insincere About DM3. They Were The Real Deal. " This Helps Contextualize Them A Bit Better Than Possible Mocking Reference To The Repercussion Aesthetic And Gives All Bands Concerned A Bit More Legitimacy. Part Of A Movement In Music Rather Than A Reaction To It. These Can Be Awkward Sounds To Return To Or Dig Out Of The Dollar Bin But They Were Absolutely For Real. Thanks So Much For Listening And Putting Up With My Dorkiness.
love Nate*"
