Folk Ensemble “Chveneburebi” Was Founded In 2001. In The Beginning The Director Of “Chveneburebi” Was Nugzar Kurtskhalia The Soloist Of The State Academic Ensemble Of Georgia “Erisioni”. Since 2004 “Chveneburebi” Has Been Working Independently. In 2004 Ensemble “Chveneburebi” Was One Of The Active Participants And Hosts Of The International Festival “Chveneburebi” The Festival’s Aim Is To Gather Georgian Dancers And Singers From Georgian Diasporas Of Different Countries . Here Ensemblehad Performance With The Famous Georgian Singer From Turkey – Bayar Shahin. In April 2005 “Chveneburebi” Had Concerts In Southern Ukraine – Ujne Nikolayev And Odessa In November 23 2006 During The NATO Summit “Chveneburebi” Arranged Concert In Favor Of Georgia In The Centre Of Riga Since 2004 Up To Present “Chveneburebi” Actively Participates In The Organizational Affairs Of The National Folk Festival “Art-Gene”. During These Years There Have Been Arranged Lots Of Folk Expeditions In All Regions Of Georgia. These Expeditions Aimed To Record The Authentic Folk Singers Dancers And Poets And Arrange Concerts For The Local Audience. The Producer Gia Diasamdize Has Been Permanently Traveling With The Ensemble Recording Each Significant Event Of “Chveneburebi’s” Musical Life. In May 26 2007 “Chveneburebi” And The Famous Georgian Musician Singer And Composer Zaza Korinteli Zumba Won The National Music Competition “Patrinoti” With The Song – “Gamarjoba Apkhazeto Sheni” “Hello Abkhazia” . In September 1 2007 “Chveneburebi” Was The Only Folk Ensemble Which Participated In The Folk And Theatre Festival – “Zgva Romelits Shoria” “The Sea Which Is Far” Held In Upper Abkhazia Kodori Gorge In October 2007 With The Support Of Georgian Government The Ensemble Held Concert In Ganmukhuri Fire Zone On The Border Of Abkhazia In May 25 2008 “Chveneburebi” Arranged Concert In The Pankisi Gorge Settled By The Chechenian Refugees Village Jokolo Together With The Local Chechenian Folk Ensemble “Pankisi” And The Ensemble Of French Residents In Georgia. The Goal Of This Event Wasto Get Acquainted With The Folk Arts Of Ethnic Minorities. “Chveneburebi” Intended To Arrange Concerts In Different Regions Of Georgia According To Dates Of The Local Religious And Folk Holidays. The First Concert Was Held In Dedoplistskaro For The Holiday Of St. Elias. Unfortunately Due To The Russian-Georgianconflict In August 2008 The Project Was Stopped. In August 17-23 2008 “Chveneburebi” Was Invited In Tallinn By The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Of Estonia. “Chveneburebi” Performed To A Large Audience About 180 000 People . The Concerts Were Also Held In Viljandi Folk Academy Cathedral Of St. Karl In Tallinn And In The Residence Of The President Of Estonia. The Whole Estonian Tour Of “Chveneburebi” Became A Political Action Supporting Georgia Against Russian Invasion. In December 1-7 2008 “Chveneburebi” Was Invited In Warsaw Where “Chveneburebi” And The Folk Group Of Polish Highlanders “Psio Crew”performed A Conjoint Concert In Palladium Club. In May 22-24 2009 "Chveneburebi" Was Invited By The Estonian Traditional Music Center And Estonian Round Table For Development Cooperation In Estonia "Chveneburebi" And "Svjata Vatra" Famous Estonian-Ukrainian Folk Group Performed Several Concerts In Tallinn And Viljandi. In May 24-26 2009 In Riga Latvia Georgian Diaspora “Samshoblo” And “Chveneburebi” Made Conjoint Project And Held Solo Concert Of “Chveneburebi”.
