Barry Coope Is An English Folk Singer. He Was A Member Of Folk Band Muckram Wakes In The 1980s And Of The Vocal Folk Trio Coope Boyes & Simpson From 1990 Until The Trio Disbanded In 2017. In The Early 1980s Coope Was A Member Of Innovative English Folk Band Muckram Wakes. Later He Played With The Folk 'supergroup' Blue Murder. Around 1990 Coope Helped Form Coope Boyes & Simpson A British Vocal Folk Trio. The Group Comprised Singers Barry Coope Jim Boyes Formerly Of Swan Arcade And Lester Simpson And Almost All Of Their Music Was Sung Entirely A Capella Although They Have Occasionally Used Accordion Guitar And Drums Very Sparingly On Recordings. Their Sound Was Rich And Often Featured Unusual Vocal Harmonies. Coope Also Enjoyed A Long-Time Collaboration With Fellow English Folk Music Legend John Tams. read less
