Künstlerbiographie Andrzej Zaucha

Andrzej Zaucha 1949-1991 Was A Polish Jazz/pop Funk Singer And Multi-Instrumentalist. He Started His Career As A Drummer And Played In A Few Bands Before Joining The Jazz/rock Ensemble Dżamble. His Arrival Resulted In The Stabilization Of The Band's Squad And The Beginning Of Its Successful Career. From 1969 The Band Appeared At Many Festivals And Won Several Prizes Most Of Which Went To Zaucha For His Vocal Performances. Dżamble Collaborated With Important Polish Jazz Figures Such As Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski Jarosław Śmietana And Michał Urbaniak Before Disbanding In 1972 Having Recorded Only One Studio Album They Reunited Later Without Zaucha But Failed To Regain Success . Meanwhile Andrzej Zaucha Joined The Group Anawa Which Also Released One LP. In 1979 He Embarked On A Successful Solo Career. Zaucha's Solo Popularity And The Fact That He Won Individual Awards As A Member Of Dżamble And Anawa Regardless Of The Bands' Excellent Musicianship Causes That The Tracks Created Collectively Are Nowadays Associated Mainly With His Name Only.
Zaucha's Life Ended Abruptly - He Was Shot On The 10th Of October 1991 By French Director Yves Goulais Jealous Of His Wife's Relations With The Singer.
