Künstlerbiographie Thulr

Thulr Is A One-Man Band From The Coast Of The Baltic Sea Playing Nature-Loving Pagan Metal. Inspirations Are Nature Herself - In Particular The Sea And Coast - As Well As Myths Fairy Tales Legends And Poems And Songs Dating Back To The Early Middle Ages Or Even Further Back. The First Demo "Forsitesland" Deals With The Legend Of The Holy Island Of Forsitesland As Mentioned And Described In The Ecclesiastical History Of Hamburg By Adam Of Bremen In The Middle Of The 11th Century CE. The Upcoming Album "The Seafarer" Was Inspired By A Number Of Anglo-Saxon Poems Like "The Wanderer" "The Wife's Lament" And - Of Course - "The Seafarer". Although Those Poems Were Written In Christian Times And Possibly By Clerks They Nevertheless Still Capture And Bring Forth Ideas From Pagan Times When The Angles Saxons And Jutes Came To Britain After 450 CE. The Lyrics Will Again Deal With Nature Primarily The Sea And Coast Paganism And Images Of The People Like "the Seafarer" Who Is Bound To Live In Exile Far Away From His Lord Family And Loved Ones. Thulr Is Also Involved In Folkearth And Will Appear On The Upcoming Third Album With The Romantic Folk Song "Midgard Farewell".
