There Are Two Bands Who Use The Name 'Telescreen' 1. Telescreen Is An Australian Band Formed In Melbourne In The Early Parts Of 2018. In The Little Over 12 Months Since The Bands Inception Formed The Indie-Pop Band Have Been Quick To Make A Name For Themselves In The Melbourne Music Scene. The First Half Of 2018 Saw The Band Sell Out Their First Ever Live Show And Work Alongside Renowned Australian Producer Dean Tuza Stella Donnelly The Rubens A. Swayze & The Ghosts To Deliver The First Taste Of Their Euphonious Telescreen Sound - The Release Of Their Two Track 7” Vinyl Which Featured Their Popular Debut Single ‘Crowded’. Likened To Their Sonic Influencers The Strokes And Methyl Ethel ‘Crowded’ Was A Favourite Within The Radio Community Earning Them Regular Spins On Radio Stations Around The Country Including Triple J And Triple J Unearthed 4ZZZ FBi Radio Radio Adelaide And SYN. This Saw Telescreen Land Top 10 Spots On Both The Triple J Unearthed And AMRAP Charts Where They Sat Amongst Australian Greats Such As Courtney Barnett And Dan Sultan. “You Guys Are The Real Deal. One Whole Package Ready To Bloom.” - Claire Mooney Triple J Unearthed 2. Telescreen Is An American Band Formed In Winston-Salem North Carolina In 2007. Following The Breakup Of Classic Case And Codeseven Members Of The Two Bands Joined Forces To Create A New Experimental Musical Project. Taking Their Name From George Orwell's Classic Dystopian Novel Nineteen Eighty-Four The Band Combines Delicately Crafted Samples And Effects With Progressive Space Rock. All Of The Members Have Spent Many Years Touring And Recording For Various Labels And Decided To Forego Traditional Outlets To Release Their First Album. "We Are Doing This Because Of Our Disapproval Of An Industry That Puts No Focus On The Music Or The Artists That Create It. An Industry That Goes After The Consumer With Lawsuits When It Feels Like It's Being Taken Advantage Of.
