Rabbit Years Started As A Nameless Three Piece – Colin Guitarist Joe Drummer And Kayleigh Vocalist All Lived On The Same Street And After Many Other Creative Projects That Joe And Colin Had Worked On Together They Decided It Was About Time To Work On Something That Really Got The Juices Flowing. A Mutual Love Of Yeah Yeah Yeahs And The American No-Wave Scene Brought Us Together! RY Jumped Into Gigging Within About 6 Weeks Of Forming As The Offers Seemed To Pile In And RY Didn’t Want To Miss Out On The Fun! We Made A Few Sketchy DIY Demos And Decided That RY Really Needed A Bassist To Round Off Their Sound. After A Few Horrendous Auditions Note To Bassists Tv Theme Tunes Aren’t The Way To Impress In An Audition! Thankfully James Arrived After Contacting RY Just The Night Before Armed With Funky Bass Lines To Their Demos Which He’d Learnt In That One Night And Blew Their Minds. Rabbit Years You Hear Today Was Then Born!
