1985 Cologne Foundation Of The Band Pink Turns Blue With Tom Elbern Vocals And Guitars Mic Jogwer Vocals And Bass And Marcus Giltjes Drums . Mic Was Studying Bass Guitar At The Jazz-Seminary Of The Musikhochschule Köln When He Was Excited To Find Tom Making Music Just As It Came Out Of His Heart And As It Matched The Zeitgeist Of The Late 80s Post Punk And Indie Movement. Beginning Of 1986 After Doing A Few Small Shows With A Drum Machine They Got Marcus To Join. Marcus Was An Art Student In Cologne And Played In Several Bands With Mic Before. Tom Was A Phone Operator During His Daytime Job And Left The Band About A Year Before The Band Released Their First Album In 1987 Because He Was Offered Making A Career Becoming A Radio Presenter At The WDR. So The Rest Of The Band Had To Fill Gap Especially As There Wer Still A Few Gigs Lined Up. So Mic Had To Learn Guitar - In The Beginning Just Copying Tom's Chords And Style To Be Able To Play The Still Aligned Shows. Since Their Show At The Luxor Supporting The Shop Assistants Ruebi An Old Mate Of Marcus Was Playing Keyboards For The Band And Changed Then To Bass And Keyboards. 1987 Münster First Record Deal With Small Label In Münster Called FUNFACTORY! Run By The Photographer And Artist Manager Axel Seitz Who Also Booked And Somehow Managed Bands Like Nina Hagen And LAIBACH - So He Got The Band Into Good Support Slots To Promote The First Album IF TWO WORLDS KISS. At That Time We Became Friends With LAIBACH Which We Found Very Impressive Both In Their Music And Artistic Attitude. 1988 Lujbljana 2nd Album META When Not On Tour With Concerts TV-Shows And Festivals The Band Spent Its Time In Lubljana Hometown Of LAIBACH - Then Yugoslavia And Now Slovenia. The Tivoli Recording Studios Were In The Basement Of A Restaurant Of A Gigantic Sports Center Within Tivoli Park. Studio And Recording Usually Was From 10 In The Morning To 6 In The Morning. The Band Bought A Roland S-10 Sampler And In Combination With Janez Krizaj The Musical Mind Connected With LAIBACH The Second Album Became More Epic. Which Was Good Since It Became One Of The Classic Dark Wave Albums Of The Time And Got The Band Into The League Of The Then Popular Post Punk Or "dark Wave" Bands. 1990 Ljubljana 3rd Album EREMITE 1991 Ljubljana 4th Album AERDT 1992 London Looking For A New Drummer As A Band Member Meaning Someone Who Spends A Lot Of Time With You And Discusses Every Song Idea Other Music And Life In General The Band Happily Found Louis Pavlou Then 18 Years Old And With Only 3 Months To Go To Play The Band's First „stadium“ Festival The BIZARRE. The Band Also Found A New Home For Their Recordings At Remaximum Recording Studios Were They Met PJ Harvey Suede And Other Indie Superstars Of The Time.The Band Got Influenced By The Madchester Rave Scene And Later Grunge And Found It More And More Difficult To Stick To The Dimension Of Post Punk / Dark Wave. In London The Band Recorded Three Albums SONIC DUST Engineered By Dave Williams The Band's Live Engineer From Australia PERFECT SEX Produced By David M. Shortly After PERFECT SEX Ruebi Went Back To Germany Completely Burnt Out With Mic Following Shortly Thereafter. Mic Left His Guitars And Stuff With Other Musicians And Did Not Touch Them For Some Time To Come. 2002 Hamburg After Some Time Off From The Music Business - Enjoying Rather The Rise Of Multimedia And The Internet Than Real Life Mic Met Brigid Anderson. She Also Had Been Finding Her Way Into Multimedia After Mastering Her M.A. In Cultural Studies Working With Mic On The Transistion Of Pop Music Into The Digital Age. Originally From The Girl Punk Band Rotten Superstars She Needed A Few Original Songs For A Compilation And She Asked Mic To Help Her Writing Some Songs. They Went Into A Recording Studio And Did 2 Songs Together. But For A Real Collaboration They Were Thinking Of Combining Brigid's Mission For Art & Style With Mic's Abilities In Music. The Project Was Called ORDEN Was Dark Electronic Music And Was About To Get Signed When Everything Was Taking Another Route ... In 2003 They Did A Few PINK TURNS BLUE Re-Union Shows With Louis Coming Back From His Afairs With The Cure Anastasia And With Tom Elbern Who By Then Had Come Back To The Active Music Business. Supported By Brigid On Keyboards And Reini Walter Ruebi's Younger Brother Now On Bass. When It Came To Record An Album With New Songs Hopefully With A Fresh New Sound And Approach Soon Two Fractions Appeared And Tom Left The Band - Again Before Any Record Came Out. For The Music And The Artistic Energy It Didn't Matter Really. So With The Creative Power Of The Rest Of The Re-Union Namely Marcus Giltjes Louis Pavlou Brigid Anderson And Reini Walter The Band Managed To Record And Release PHOENIX In 2005 Which Hit The German Alternative Charts At Position Nr. 3 For 8 Consecutive Weeks And Was Very Warmly Welcome By Old And New Fans Alike. 2006 Leipzig What An Idea. To Find His Way Back Into The Roots Of His Musical Existence Mic Listened To Many Bands From The Post Punk / Dark Wave Scene And Thought It Would Be A Great Idea To Stage A Show With Some Of The Most Exciting Characters To Celebrate The Fifteenth Of The Wave And Gotik Treffen. Wayne Hussey Alexander Veljanov Chibi Frank The Baptist And Many More Post Punk / Dark Wave Stars Came And Presented A Long Lasting Event. 2007 Berlin After The Overwhelming Success With Their Comeback-Album PHOENIX On Chart Position #14 Of The German DAC-Top-100 Annual Charts And The Event Of The Jubilee Ball That Welcomed The Band Back Into The Top-Squad Of The Dark Wave Scene They Released Their Most Popular Album Ever GHOST.
