Mento Is A Rock Band Formed In Tenerife Spain In 2001.
Their First EP “mento” Was Recorded At Multitrack Tenerife In 2002. It Received Very Good Reviews From Local Newspapers And Magazines Which Along With The Constant Touring And Performing In Local Festivals Led To The Sell Out Of The 300 Copies Made.
2004 Would See The Release Of Their First LP “The Wake” Recorded At Manzana Recording By Carlos Más And Alberto “Naranja” Méndez. The Wake Would Also Be Critically And Publicly Acclaimed Winning Them The “5 Certamen De Jóvenes Artistas Del Cabildo Insular De Tenerife” And A Performance At The Renown “Festival Cabeza De Perro” Along With Artists Of National Stature Like Rosendo Marea Y Athom Rumba.
In 2005 Mento Starts Transcending Frontiers With A Live Performance At The Fete De La Musique In Berlin.
2006 Would Be A Very Successful Year For The Band They Win The "La Laguna Garaje Rock 2006" Award Whose First Prize Included The Filming Of The Video “3veces4” And They Also Write The Soundtrack For The Internationally Acclaimed Short Film “Nasija” By Guillermo Rios Bordón.
Right Now Mento Is Promoting Their Second Studio Album “Final De Un Sueño Sin Final”.
