Luciano Marziali Was Born In Bergamo Italy In 1976. He Began Studying Guitar At The Age Of 8 At Age 11 He Was Admitted To The Donizetti Institute Of Music Bergamo To Study Under Maestro Giorgio Oltremari. In 1997 Graduating Cum Laude With The Highest Marks In His Class He Received The S.Mayr Award For Graduate Of The Year. His Many National And International Awards Include - First Prize Guitar Solo Guitar Duet National Music Competition Genova 1993 And Barbisotti Scholarship For Young Musicians Bergamo.
- Second Prize Ancona National Music Competition And W. Matiegka Special Award For Best Performance Of A Piece By The Bohemian Romantic Composer 1997.
- In The Same Year Awarded The Bergamo Rotary Club Prize For Student Of The Year Donizetti Institute Of Music.
- Second Prize B.Terzi International Competition Clusone Italy 1998.
- Third Prize Internationales Pfingstseminar Coblenz Germany 1999.
- Second Prize No First Awarded De Bonis International Competition Cosenza Italy 2000.
- First Prize Niccolo Paganini International Festival Parma Italy 2001. In 1999 Marziali Graduated With Top Marks From Tilman Hoppstock’s Master Class At The Akademie Fur Tonkunst In Darmstadt Germany. In 2004 He Again Received Top Marks In Hubert Kappel’s Master Class At The Hochschule Fur Musik In Cologne. In 2006 Completing His Courses In Concert Performance With Prof. Roberto Aussel At The Hochschule Für Musik Cologne He Was Awarded Maximum Recognition For The Maturity Of His Performance At The Renowned Konzertexamen As Well As His Specialist’ S Degree In Guitar Instruction. In These And In Master Classes With David Russell Angelo Gilardino Thomas Muller-Pering Simon Dinnigan And Dusan Bogdanovic Marziali Has Been Hailed As One Of The Best Guitarists Of His Generation For His Masterful Technique And For The Depth And Sensitivity Of His Performance. Luciano Marziali Performs Extensively As A Soloist As A Member Of The Fénix International Guitar Quartet With Prof. Hubert Käppel Sotiris Malasiotis And Piraí Vaca As Soloist With The Orchestras Junge Philharmonie Koln WDR Sinfonie Orchester And WDR Rundfunk Orchester And In Duo With The Guitarist Tobias Kassung Winning Critical And Public Acclaim. He Has Also Performed On Several Recordings Both As A Soloist And In Chamber Music Ensembles. This CD Is His Third Solo Recording. The First One “The Guitar In 20th & 21st Century” Was Released Early In 2006 In Collaboration With The Italian Magazine For Classical Guitar GuitArt. Exaudio Music Productions Published The Second One “Live In Cologne” In 2007. Recently The Associazione Chitarra Bergamo Awarded Luciano Marziali With The Segovia Day Price 2009 For His Intense Engagement In Promoting Music Culture And Arts Both In Italy And Abroad. Luciano Marziali Lives In Cologne Where He Combines Concert And Chamber Music Performances With Teaching And Offering Assistance To Chamber Music Groups.
