Artist Biography For Sublime With Rome

Sublime With Rome Is A Collaboration Between Eric Wilson And Bud Gaugh Of Sublime And Rome Ramirez. Vocalist And Guitarist Rome Ramirez Joined Wilson And Gaugh To Perform Classic Material And Eventually Originals. It Became Clear That Ramirez Could Not Replace Sublime's Late Lead Singer And Guitarist Bradley Nowell Who Died In 1996. The Answer Was To Call The Band "Sublime With Rome" Instead Of "Sublime" To Clarify The Difference. Sublime With Rome Performed Their First Gig Together In February 2009 Near Gaugh's Home In Nevada Followed By An Appearance At Cypress Hill's Smokeout Festival In San Bernadino That October. On April 20 2010 The Band Embarked On Their First-Ever US Tour With Dates Going Into That Fall. After Positive Reaction On The Road Sublime With Rome Released A Debut Album On Fueled By Ramen Records In July 2011. In December 2011 Bud Gaugh Revealed In An Interview That He Would Be Leaving Sublime With Rome And KROQ's Accoustic Christmas Would Be His Last Show. He Saying He Wanted To Go Home And Spend More Time With His Family. He Later Went On To Say "It Was Really Good For The First Few Months After That It Just Felt Wrong. Not Playing The Songs But Playing Them With The Name Sublime Without Brad." When Asked If He Saw The Band Reuniting In The Future Gaugh Replied "No I Am Done With SWR. I Would Be Into Playing Music With Eric Wilson However." He Was Replaced By Josh Freese. In 2015 Sublime With Rome Would Release Their Second Album "Sirens" Featuring A Collaboration With Dirty Heads On The Title Track. In 2017 Carlos Verdugo Known For Drumming With The Tribal Seeds Replaced Josh Freese. Later On In 2023 Jason Vick Briefly Filled The Spot Until Joe Tomino Was Dubbed Carlos' Official Replacement. In 2019 Sublime With Rome Released Their Third Album "Blessings" Featuring Singles Like Wicked Heart And Blackout. This Was A Good Year For The Band - They Performed With Post Malone At One Point During 2019 And Released A Special Cover Of His Song "Goodbyes". On February 26 2024 Eric Wilson Announced That He Was No Longer A Member Of Sublime With Rome. The Month After The Band Announced The Farewell Tour And Plans To Release Their Final Album. The Final Self-Titled Sublime With Rome Album Featuring The Final Single 'Love Is Dangerous' Along With The 4 Tracks Included On The Tangerine Skies EP As Well As 5 New Songs Released On May 10th 2024. The Band Will Disband After The Farewell Tour Ends. Rome Has Announced Plans To Release Solo Music In The Near Future And Eric Wilson Along With Bud Gaugh Will Be Performing With Jakob Nowell As Sublime For The Foreseeable Future.
