Even From A Distance You Can Hear It The Fragile Notes From An Acoustic Guitar Slipping Through Between The Creaking Of The Crickets. As You Approach The Little House You See The Source Of These Notes Sitting In A Rocking Chair On The Front Porch With A Guitar On Her Lap And Her Faithful Watchdog Lasse At Her Feet. A Gentle Summer Night’s Breeze Is Rustling The Leaves On The Apple Trees In Front Of The House And Brings The Scent Of Freshly Baked Corn Bread And Newly Cut Hay. Welcome Home. Some Artists Spend Most Of Their Careers To Find Their Musical Home While Others Get There Early. Sophie Zelmani Had Already Found Her Home When She Released Her First Album And So Far She Hasn’t Shown Any Signs Of Wanting To Run Away From That Home. Ever Since The Acclaimed Debut In 1995 She Has Stayed True To Her Vision. Never Swayed Never Hesitated. With Each New Album Her Melancholic Country Scented Music Has Taken Small Steps Forward Somewhat Shifting In Expression But Never Leaning Towards Musical Trends.
