The Honeybears Foi Formado Após Zach Ernst Membro Da Universidade De Música Do Texas Agendar Lewis Para Abrir Um Show De Little Richard No Festival Forty Acres. Com Grande Aclamação Local A Banda Seguiu Em Turnê Abrindo Para O Spoon E O Okkervil River Em 2007. O Grupo Assinou Com A Lost Highway Records Em 2008. Após A Contratação E Performances No Lollapalooza 2008 E No Austin City Limits Music Festival Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears Lançou Um EP Com Quatro Músicas Em 27 De Janeiro De 2009.
