Suzanne Doyle Doesn’t Aim For Her Dreams She Lives Them Every Single Day Of Her Life. From Raising A Family To Making Music Doyle’s Life Has Been An Odyssey. The Siren Song Of Her Muse Has Never Left Her. Doyle Performed All Over Toronto In The Summer Of 1971 Earning A Featured Performer Spot At The Opening Of Ontario Place. Doyle’s Dreams Of Becoming A Rock Star Were On The Verge Of Coming True In Large Part Due To A Talent For Crafting Powerful Image-Driven Lyrics Full Of Substance And A Bit Of Magic. Doyle’s Family Farmers By Trade Soon Tired Of The Big City And Returned To A More Pastoral Setting. As The Bright Lights Of The City Faded So Too Did The Prospects For Doyle’s Music Career. Still That Small Voice Called Out To Her. The Muse Would Have To Wait However. Doyle Soon Fell In Love Got Married And Raised A Family. While Never Regretting A Moment Of Her Life She Does Admit To Frustrations Over The Lack Of Time For Making Music. Doyle Eventually Put Her Guitar Away Putting Family Above Art. And So It Was For Many Years And So It Seemed It Would Always Be. Life As It Often Does Had Other Plans For Suzanne Doyle. Once The Children Were Grown And On Their Own Doyle And Her Husband Moved To A New Condo In Kitchener Ontario. It Was There In A Local Coffee Shop That They Were Introduced To Bob Egan Blue Rodeo . The Three Became Fast Friends And Egan’s Encouragement Became A Catalyst For Doyle To Begin Making Music Once Again. And What A Difference A Few Years Can Make. Doyle Who Hadn’t Written A Song In Years Found A Well Of Material Waiting To Be Written Born Of A Lifetime Of Experiences. Doyle’s Debut Album 2009’s Room With A View Quickly Established Her As A Powerful Yet Mature New Voice In The World Of Canadian Folk Music. Doyle Fell In Love With The Power Of Words At An Early Age Her Image-Driven Lyrical Style Is Distinctive And Continues To Earn Her The Respect Of Fans And Peers Alike. 2011 Finds Suzanne Doyle A True Rising Star. Her Sophomore Album Unwalled Includes 9 Original Songs And Is Dedicated To Her Older Brother Who Passed Away In 2010 After A Battle With Prostate Cancer. Doyle Spent Time With Her Brother And His Wife Witnessing Their Heartbreak And Struggle And The Unending Love Between Them. These Experiences Became The Inspiration For Unwalled. Players Include Bob Egan And Basil Donovan Blue Rodeo Kevin Kane The Grapes Of Wrath Michelle Josef Prairie Oyster Big Rude Jake Long John Baldry And Anne Lindsay Led Zeppelin Natalie MacMaster Jim Cuddy Band To Name A Few. The Combination Of Pure Instrumental Talent Supporting Doyle And The Quality Of Her Song Writing Creates The Atmosphere For Musical Alchemy. Suzanne Doyle Fell In Love With Music At A Young Age Enthralled With Its Ability To Create Images In The Mind Of Listeners.
