Degree In Opera Performance & Clarinet From Damascus High Institute Of Music And Drama. She Studied With Rebecca Folsom Galena Khaldieva Shauna Beesley & Anatoly Moratof As Well As Attending Singing Classes In Maastricht Conservatory In The Netherlands With Mia Besselink . Born In Damascus 1975 Dima Studied Piano At The Arab Conservatory Of Music In Damascus. She Has Appeared As A Soloist In The Middle East Europe & USA Including Solo Appearances With The Syrian National Symphony Orchestra Conducted By Sulhi Al Wadi And Missak Baghboudarian Since 1995 Solo Performance In The Opening Of The First Opera House In Damascus In 2004 Performances With The ZTH In The Musical Theater Play “Bachanten” In Amsterdam Brussels Duisburg Athens Cologne And Vienna The Role Of Titania In Britten's Midsummer Night's Dream Conducted By Federico Cortese & Directed By Sanford Sylvan In 2006 And The Role Of The Female Chorus In Britten's The Rape Of Lucretia Conducted By Karl Paulnack & Directed By Kirsten Cairns In 2007. As A Profisional Musician & Singer Dima Appeared In Concerts With Ziad Rahbani On Piccadilly Theatre Beirut In 1987. She Is A Member Of Leish Troup For Movement Theater As A Singer And Composer .She Started Working For TV Radio And Theater Since 1993 And She Arranged Music For The Opening Show Of Damascus International Cinema Festival In 2003. As For Cinema She Composed And Arranged Music For Many Short Films Directed By Young Syrian Artists Including “Zamakan” & “Point” Directed By Rami Farah And One Feature Film “Under The Ceiling” Directed By Nidal Al-Debs In 2005. In 2003 Dima Joined Hewar Ensemble With Kinan Azmeh & Issam Rafea With Whom She Performed In Damascus Beirut Cairo London Köln Marseille Boston New York Chicago Washington D.C In The Kennedy Center In 2004 And 2005 Joined By The Inspiring Double Bass Player David Phillips. They Released Their First Album In 2005 While Their Second Album “9 Days Of Solitude” Has Been Released In 2007 In Collaboration With The Three Distinguished Musician Guests Manfred Leuchter Antoine Pütz & Steffen Thormählen. read less
