Jack Shaindlin Was Born In Born In Karasubazar Crimea Part Of The Russian Empire At The Time On April 14 1909 And Died On September 22 1978 In New York City. He Began His Musical Career As A Pianist In Silent Movie Halls After Relocating Along With His Mother And Brother To America On A Music Scholarship To A Chicago School After His Father Was Allegedly Shot And Killed At His Local Coal Production Plant He Opperated. His Recordings Of Nickelodeon Piano Music Are Historical And Significant. His Early Years In Vaudeville And At The Brooklyn Navy Yard Included Stints With Lillian Gish W.C. Fields And Many Others. In The Late 1940s He Was The Musical Director Of The Carnegie Pops Orchestra At Carnegie Hall. He Was Cited By President Truman For His War Contributions For His Work On The Documentary Tanks. In The 1960s He Was Solicited By Gypsy Rose Lee To Compose A Revue For Her To Be Held In Manhattan It Never Materialized. He Composed Numerous Scores For Louis De Rochemont For The Cinerama Films Of The 1950s. He Was Also Responsible For The Score To Arthur Penn's Classic Film Mickey One Starring Warren Beattey. He Contributed To Many Television Scores Including Father Knows Best Deputy Dog Rocky & Bullwinkle The Jetsons And More. Upon Formal Retirement In The Early 1970s He Became Musical Consultant To Madison Square Garden. He Had Children By 2 Different Marriages. He Had A Son And Daughter With His First Wife Ruth Lamont Shaindlin Who Later Married Sigmund Gottlieb And Passed Away In 1997 And 5 Sons With His Widow Natalie Shaindlin Who Resides In New England.
