MUSIC Has Accompanied Ursula Haupt Since Almost Before She Could Walk. At The Age Of 7 She Began Taking Piano Lessons. As Her Instrumental Skills Developed She Very Quickly Discovered A Love Of Singing In Her School And Church Choirs. At 17 She Began Taking Regular Singing Lessons At A Local Music School In Neumarkt Near Nuremberg Bavaria With Frau Barbara Moretti-Mrowetz Who Was Quick To Recognise And Encourage Her Pupil’s Talent. The Tuition She Received At The School And The Dedication Of Her Singing Teacher Resulted In A Host Of Public Performances – On The Stage In The Recording Studio And Even On Television. While Studying In Glasgow Scotland Ursula Joined Strathclyde University Chamber Choir Under The Direction Of Alan Tavener. This Gave Her An Invaluable Opportunity To Take Part In Performances All Over Britain. When Her Studies Were Complete The Soprano With The Beautiful Clear Bright Voice Fulfilled One Of Her Longest-Held Wishes Taking Singing Lessons With Marita Kral Star Of Operetta And Musicals And Honorary Fellow Of The Nuremberg College Of Music. Ursula Has Since Given More Than 500 Stage Performances As A Concert Soloist At Weddings – And Most Recently A Recording Artist. In The Past Year The Release Of Her First Solo CD Serenade Has Put Her Name On The Lips Of A Growing Worldwide Audience. Whilst Working On The CD She Came Into Contact With The Internationally Renowned Composer Organist And Choral Director Colin Mawby Whose Stunning Pieces – Including His Famous Alleluia And Ave Verum - Have Been Heard In Thousands Of Churches Around The Globe. Their Acquaintance Led To Plans For A Joint Concert For Which Mawby Will Travel To Germany In November 2009. Ursula’s Broad Repertoire Covers Everything From Sacred Music Opera Operetta To Musicals Folk Songs And 70s Pop Classics. In Addition To Appearances In Germany And Britain She Has Also Given Hugely Successful Performances In The States. read less
