Orchestra Antonetti Began As A Vision Of Victor Antonetti Sr. To Establish A Latin Orchestra For Salsa Lovers Making His Move From Salina Puerto Rico To Upstate New York Rochester . After Playing With Multiple Bands And Family Members Around The 70's Víctor Antonetti Jr. Son Of Víctor Antonetti Sr. Eventually Assumed The Position Of Director Of The Antonetti Orchestra To This Day. The Group Features A Traditional Latin Music Sound Through Their Percussion Instruments Along With The Incorporation Of A Jazz Flare That Sounds Through Their Multiple Wind Instruments. The Group Has Remained Faithful To The Traditional Salsa That Has Been Playing Since The 70's. Carrying This Tradition Is Easy For The Antonetti Family Because Of The Great Musical Talent That Has Been Emerging Over The Years While Some Families May Have A Musician Or Two In The Antonetti Family All Members Are From The Grandfather Of Victor Antonetti Jr. Until His Children Are Inclined To Music. Antonetti Jr. Says "They Feel The Music And As A Result We Have A Good Show." This Passion To Continue With The Music Is What Has Kept The Orchestra Alive And Up To Date. The Most Recent CD Of The Orchestra Released On May 14 2016 Titled Orchestra Antonetti "Pa 'Rato" Is The Culmination Of That Idea That The Family Will Follow The Tradition. "Pa 'Rato" Translates As "for A Long Time " To Which Antonetti Jr. Adds "Music Is In The Blood I Hope It Never Dies." In Its Beginnings The Antonetti Family Developed The Basic Skills As The Rhythmic Part That Comes From The Latin Roots Of Music But Then They Became Professionally Trained. It All Starts At Home And At An Early Age. Antonetti Jr. Says That His Father Bought Congas Took Them To Shows And Also Made Them Practice Every Day. The Thought Of Mr. Antonetti Was "If My Children Become Interested In Music They Will Become Latin Music Of Good." That Way Antonetti Jr. Started Piano Lessons At The Age Of Six And Continued To Learn All The Different Types Of Instruments. Antonetti Jr. Says That The Knowledge Of Playing Several Instruments Has Helped Immensely To Write Music For The 14-Member Orchestra. Music That Not Only Sounds Good But Is The Key To The Success Of All Members Of The Orchestra And Their Songs. Antonetti Jr. Adds "I'm Lucky To Have Talented Guys." Although Over The Years Some Members Have Left But All Have Brought Their Own Style To The Orchestra. The Orchestra Had The Opportunity To Support Many Famous Artists Such As Tito Allen Rafael De Jesus Hector Tricoche Ismael Miranda And Johnny Rivera Have Still Maintained Rochester As Their Base. Antonetti Jr. Stresses "It's The Family That Keeps Us Here." The Band Has Also Kept Up With The Traditional Style Of The Shows. Nowadays Shows With Large Latino Groups Often Perform Their Songs From Their Latest CD. Orchestra Antonetti Has Also Focused On Keeping Dance And Entertainment Alive. Antonetti Jr. Comments "Sometimes When We Do Shows We Do Not Take Breaks To Keep The Flow Of Music". Antonetti Jr. Adds "It's Not Something We're Getting Rich In."
