Háskólakórinn The University Choir Of Iceland Was Founded In 1972 And Has Since Then Performed Many Ambitious Choral Pieces. The Choir Usually Holds Two Larger Concerts Every Year As Well As Performing At The University's Graduation Ceremonies And Other Events. In Recent Years The Choir Has Also Collaborated With Sinfóníuhljómsveit Unga Fólksins The Young People's Symphony Orchestra And Together They Have Performed Pieces Such As Mansöngur Fyrir Ólafs Rímu Grænlendings A Sea Symphony And Mendelssohn's Lobgesang. The Choir Sings A Wide Variety Of Choral Literature But The Emphasis Is On Traditional Icelandic Music. read less
