Biography

Divinity Destroyed was a progressive metal band hailing from Toms River, New Jersey, Established in 1999. Their influences include Metallica, Balzac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Misfits, Dream Theater, Anthrax, Star Wars, Beer, and general jackassery. They have a sound that is wholly unique, and a small fan base that borders on insane. They have four releases in total, 3 EPs and 2 LPs. Chronologically they are: Nocturnal Dawn (LP), Divinity Destroyed (EP), Eden In Ashes (LP), The Plague (EP), Death or Glory (EP) and lastly Nova (LP). They are not currently signed, although Screaming Ferret Records is distributing their Eden in Ashes LP. The members as of this moment are Mark Ward (Keyboards and vocals), Tom Ward (guitars and vocals), Rick Flannegan (guitars and vocals)(Ex-Beyond The Flesh), and Jim Cowen (bass). Original drummer Dan Leonard left the band and has been replaced with Joe Grinnelli. On November 14, 2009, Divinity Destroyed announced that they had disbanded. They were supposed to play one final show at the Belmar Firehall on December 19th, with original drummer Dan Leonard.It was later rescheduled and relocated to The Stone Pony on May 22, 2010.
