The Outta Place Was An American Garage Punk Band From New York City NY Formed In 1982 With Mike Chandler Vocals Jordan Tarlow Guitar Orin Portnoy Bass Shari Mirojnik Organ Andrea Kusten Drums. Calling Themselves "New York's Cave Teens" The Outta Place Released "We're Outta Place" On Midnight Records NYC In 1984. It Was The First Record To Ever Come Out Of The N.Y.C. Garage Psych Punk Scene. Later Rhino Would Dub This Music "Children Of Nuggets". It Preceded The Vipers And Fuzztones Singles By Nine Months. The 45rpm LP Hit Number 1 In The Alternative Charts In Italy France And Holland And Received Stellar Reviews In The U.K. U.S. And Canada. Mike Chandler Died In 2018.
