Artist Biography For Stropstrikkers
In November 2006 There Suddenly Was The Newly Formed StropStrikkers With Their First Album "Kermis In De Hel" Funfair In Hell . The Hip-Hip Group From Utrecht Made Deep Impact Within The Dutch Hip-Hop Scene With Their Raw Grimy Style And Street Orientated Lyrics. The Unknown Group From The Ondiep District Impressed Many With Their Energetic Live Shows And Won The Music Competition "The Clash Of The Titans" In April 2007. This Brought Them Even More Attention And Invitations To Geinbeat Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht And A Place In The Finals Of The "Grote Utrechtse Live Prijs". Not Long After The Group Won The Prize For "Hollandse Nieuwe" At VPRO's 3VOOR12. StropStrikkers Consists Of Two MC's And One Producer. The MC's Are Skafalau Lauran Helberg And Jae'Mel Jermain Bridgewater . The Producer Is Klaas Vaak Jeffrey Pisa . The Second StropStrikkers Album "Donkere Dagen" Dark Days Was Released In October 2007. Even Though Rumors About StropStrikkers Signing A Record Deal Were Floating Around The Scene The Album Got Released Independently. The StropStrikkers Preferred To Be In Charge Themselves. On December 1st The Group Won The Second Utracks Award Which Made Them The Utrecht Representative During SenaPopNL Awards In The Melkweg.
