Paul Jabara Born In Brooklyn New York USA On 31 January 1948 – 29 September 1992 Was An American Actor Singer And Songwriter Of Arab Ancestry. Jabara Wrote The Book Music Lyrics And Starred In An Abortive Broadway Musical Rachael Lily Rosenbloom And Don't You Ever Forget It Which Played The Broadhurst Theatre In New York City In 1973. He Wrote Donna Summer's Last Dance From Thank God It's Friday 1978 And Barbra Streisand's Song The Main Event/fight From The Main Event 1979 . He Was A Well Known Gay Activist During The 1970’s Disco Era It Was In The Early Eighties When He Co-Wrote The Famous Hit It's Raining Men With Paul Shaffer. Who Is Currently David Letterman’s Music Director And Co-Host. This Song Was Recorded & Performed By The Weather Girls Originally The Song Was To Be Recorded By Donna Summer Who Declined The Song Due To Her Born Again Religious Beliefs As A Result It Was Passed On To The Weather Girls And Went On To Become One Of Paul’s Greatest Hits.
