Loco Star Combine Different Kinds Of Electronic Music Creating A Multilayered Rhythmical Whole. They Represent The So – Called Alternative Pop Or Sensual Ambient And Their Musical Influences Include Jazz And Club Beats.
The Group’s Members Are Passionate About Music And Have Been Present On The Alternative Scene For A Long Time. Loco Star’s Frontman Composer And Producer Tomek Zietek Trumpet Synthesizer And Samplers Is Also A Member Of A Well – Known Polish Group Pink Freud. The Warm And Slightly Impish Vocals Belong To The Talented Marsija A Singer Known From Collaborations With Novika Smolik ‘S.I.P’ From The Latest LP And Silver Rocket. The Trio Is Complemented By The Bass Player GrandPat Homosapiens Presently Silver Rocket .
The Second Album ‘Herbs’ Was Released On 18th April 2008 By The Well – Known Polish Label Kayax. Live Instruments Add Variety To The Electronic Tracks And The Effect Is Mild Yet With An Edge. The Album Provides A Perfect Showcase For Marsija’s Sensational Ability To Express A Wide Array Of Emotions And Moods Which In Turn Makes Loco Star’s Music Distinctive And Unique. ‘Herbs’ Is A Kaleidoscope Of Beautiful Melodies And Innovative Instrumental Compositions Therefore Making It Pleasurable And Interesting To Listen To.
A Variety Of Guest Musicians – Distinguished Representatives Of The Alternative Scene – Collaborated With Loco Star To Create This Novel Album. The Warsaw – Based Artist And Multi – Instrumentalist Macio Moretti Mitch & Mitch Baaba Played The Drums On ‘Arps’ ‘Herbs’ And ‘Gunshot Glitter’. The Group Also Invited Pawel Nowicki Great Performer Of Contemporary And Classical Music Who Played The Vibraphone On ‘It’s Not Over’. In 2008 Loco Star Performed In Warsaw As A Supporting Act Before The French Duo Air.
