Fenton Nesbeth A.K.A. “Fatta John” Has Always Had A Love For Music. Born In Chisholm Ave. Kingston 13 To Ms. Marjorie Pinnock-Lawson Fenton Started Singing At The Age Of 13 Where He Sang Solos In The Church. Feton Moved To Duhaney Park In 1981 And That’s Where He Got His Name “Fatta John”. As He Gained Popularity “Fatta John” Making His Way By Singing On Sound Systems And Working In Music Studios. His First Recording Was In 1985 For The Song “True Deceiver” On The Everything Label. He Then Went On To Record “Give Me Love” Which Was Produced By The Well-Known “Whitty”. “Fatta John” Entered The “Sunshine Talent Hunt” In 1991 And Was Placed In The Top Five. For This He Was Featured In The “Jamaican Star’ Newspaper. ‘Fatta John’ Migrated To Canada In 1992. Arriving Here He Continued His Musical Journey. His Single “True Deceiver” Became A Hit Here In Canada. He Recorded “No Love In A Dem Heart” On The Super Jam Label. This Is What Many Would Say Is ‘Fatta John’s” Most Popular Hit Single So Far. In 1995 ‘Fatta John’ Was Nominated For The Best New Comer At The Canadian Reggae Music Awards. He Has Done A Number Of Performances And Shared Stages With Ace D.J’s Such As Beenie Man Bounty Killer Hurricane Carter Snow And Buju Banton To Name A Few. In The Year 2000 ‘Fatta John’ Performed At Numerous Events Such As “The Reggae Showcase For Black History Month In February Canadian Reggae Music Awards And Jamaica Day 10th Anniversary Celebration. He Has Also Made Appearances Across Canada. He Performed At The Rainbow Ites In Montreal Padro D In Ottawa For Their Jamaica Day Celebration . At This Event “Fatta John” Shared The Stage With Singer Richie Stephens And D.J. General Degree. It Was Also At This Event That Fatta John Released His Single “Jah Is Still The One” On The Vigorous Label. “Fatta John” Is A Very Passionate Singer. It Is That Very Passion That Is Felt In His Music. He Demonstrates Positiveness And Consciousness Through His Music And Lyrics. “Fatta John” Continues To Sing And Excite His Audience. read less
