Eisbrecher Is An EBM/industrial Metal Band From Fürstenfeldbruck Germany. The Band Consists Primarily Of Alexx Wesselsky Vocals And Noel Pix Lead Guitar And Programming With Live Support From Jürgen Plangger Guitar Rupert Keplinger Bass Achim Färber Drums And Max Schauer Keyboards And Programming . Jürgen Replaced Former Guitarist Felix Primc Oli Pohl Replaced Former Bass Guitarist Martin Motnik. Eisbrecher's Style Belongs To The So Called Neue Deutsche Härte New German Hardness Subgenre Of Hard Rock. After Leaving Megaherz Because Of Creative Differences In 2003 Alexx Wesselsky Got Together With Noel Pix Who Composed The Synths And Programming For Megaherz's Albums Himmelfahrt And Kopfschuss. Eisbrecher The Brainchild Of The Two Men Combines Their Musical Ideas Concepts And Styles. Eisbrecher Like Megaherz Has A Much Stronger Fan Base Abroad Especially In The USA Than In Germany Itself. The Band's Name In Translation From German Means "Icebreaker" Not The Kind You Experience In Parties And At Meetings But Rather The Special-Purpose Ship Or Boat Designed To Move And Navigate Through Ice-Covered Waters . Indeed The Band's Lyrics And Slogans Often Include Terms Of Ice And Sailing Such As "Ahoi" Ahoy And "Es Wird Kalt" It's Getting Cold . The Band's Frontman Alexx Wesselsky Often Wears Sailor's And Military Clothing In Performances. The Band Released Its Debut Album "Eisbrecher" In 2004. A Second Album Called "Antikörper " Was Released On October 20 2006. While The Self-Titled Debut Album Eisbrecher Has More Of An EBM And Electronic Sound Its Successive Release Antikörper Has A Far Heavier More Metallic Style. However The Band Remained True To Its Roots And The Albums Are Recognizable As Being By The Same Group Because The Group's Identity Remained Firmly Attached To The Industrial-Metal Genre Of Rock Music. For Those Who Are Not All That Familiar With Industrial Metal – One Might Compare This Band To Fellow German Industrialists RAMMSTEIN With Their General Sound. Tons Of Synthesizers Dominate This Release And Most Of The Basic Band Instruments Have Been Run Through The Synthesizer Wash Too – But It Doesn’t Distort From The Fact That Their Writing And Vision Is Quite Expansive. Not To Mention Catchy Too. Heavily Down Tuned And Distorted Guitars Make Up The Guts Of “Sünde” But The Melodic And Atmospheric Synthesizers And Keyboards Are Going To Be The Ear Catching Musical Elements For EISBRECHER. Pop Music Melodies And Industrial Metal Energy Mix Quite Well For Them And Even Though Their Vocalist Alexx Only Sings In German With His Deep Throated Baritone Crooning Granted Not The Average Metalhead Is Going To Love This Album. Fans Of Industrial Are Going To Find It Impressive And Any Fans Of RAMMSTEIN Or OOMPH! Are Just Going To Absolutely Love “Sünde”.
