She told Q magazine that the description of 'an ecstatic exorcism' is "a perfect way to describe" Ceremonials. "What's been exorcised?" the "Dog Days Are Over" singer continued: "Self-doubt. Guilt. Pain. And constant questioning of who I am and where my morals lie. What's my attitude to love and am I happy, am I sad and oh God, Jesus Christ help me! It's a lot to do with being away so much and the difference between being a performer and trying to be in a relationship. It's a constant battle between good and bad, chaos and control."
